Help Ok. This Facebook Contact thing is getting on my nerves. HELP.

Ok. I just want the contact from my back up assistant in my contacts. I dont want EVERY person on my facebook. Can this be fixed. What do i do?? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The original Droid did this beautifully, but I have yet to figure out how to do this on the Droid X, which is why I do not use the motorola facebook integration and just use the facebook touch website (touch.facebook.com) until it is fixed. However, if you need to have that facebook integration, it will load up everyone, but the contacts can be set to only display your phone contacts by choosing it from the top of the contacts page. It should stay that way for subsequent uses.

You better delete the friends you have on facebook you don't really need or care about if you don't want them coming over into you contacts on the Droid X. I've tried everything folks suggested and have yet to see a way for your friends not coming into your contacts from Facebook. I could be missing something. But the only way to simply have your contacts as you want them without Facebook just taking over is to NOT set up a facebook account and just use touch facebook.

Someone can certainly correct me if I'm wrong. I still would like this resolved myself and would love to think I'm just missing something really easy. With the Droid you could choose to sync your facebook friends or not sync them. I just haven't found a way to do that yet with the Droid X.

Man, I really wish I could remember what I did, but I also hated having the FB contacts auto populate. I have my contacts set to display all and the FB ones are gone. I uninstalled the FB app and just use the web/touch version mentioned above. I don't know if that did it, but I think you said that didn't work. I don't want to try it again and get stuck with them because I can't remember what the hell I did to get rid of them! Sorry! :(
