I've decided to make a thread dedicated to giving the main problems of the community that could perhaps be fixed though software.Although FROYO is nearing the corner, we aren't sure some of the problems will be fixed and even post-FROYO we might have more.

Anyway, just post any problems that are widespread and common amongst the community and it will be added to the list.

THE LIST:

The 5% Death Zone
The average American's day planner has fewer holes in it than Ray Charles's dart board. With that said, it's important that we have our phones. On the off chance that we accidentally let our phones die, we are rushing to the nearest charger... Unfortunately, we cannot load up our phones, because, unless your battery has 10% or more, you're not allowed. This is a REAL issue and needs to be addressed.

The Camera Flash Auto-Focus Issue
While attempting to focus the shot on the camera, the light blinks too quickly and does not allow the camera to focus all the way. With this kind of terrible focus, i'd be better off drawing night images on an Etch-a-Sketch.

The Camera 'Dead Pixels' Problem
It may be a STRONG 8MP camera, but if you strip it of it's quality, you kill the camera. I mean sure the Lion is the king of the jungle, but drop 'em into Antarctica and he's just a penguin's bitch. Prior to the latest update, some users' cameras have been plagued with dead pixels on various places. All evidence suggests this is a 100% Software issue.

The System Crash/Reboot Issue
Many users have found their phones to simply power down, then power themselves back up, for no apparent reason. All signs point to a software issue here.

The HDMI Out 'Situation'
HDMI Out is great, just not the way it's made available. The controls are no good, the options are limited, and the cost is too high. Apple's output has more perks than Elvis' nightstand, and we're stuck with this. Pleas fix it.

The Under-spoken Speaker
The speaker hardware is capable of much higher/better sound, however the software is creating a bottleneck. I say if it's too loud, you're too old. So crank the tunes all the way up please, Mr. Motorola.

All the best,
Eric

today it froze/lagged pretty damn bad.... just wondering if other people have been having this problem at all...

I have mine freeze/reboot somewhat often, it's not a HUGE issue, but still frustrating.

I've even wiped the phone clean and went a few days w/o adding any apps and even with that stock format, I still have a few reboots (No freezes, though).

The speaker/ringer is not as loud as it should be. The hardware is there (or should be...not sure why they would use a worse speaker than the Droid1), but it's just not loud. People are missing calls/messages, etc. The first day I used it as an alarm it didn't wake me up. Not good.

Wifi connection is not as strong as it should be when connected to a wireless-N network.

They also need to fix the facebook integration. LET US USE THE CONTACT SYNC WITHIN THE OFFICIAL FACEBOOK APP. Blur won't let you do it - instead, you have to let Blur draw allllllll of your friends on facebook into your contacts. Now, when I want to find a friend, my contact list is huge and it loads pretty choppy.
