Accessories Centon 32 GB Micro SDHC Class 4 Flash Memory Card 32GBRSDHC4

Anyone try one of these yet? I've never heard of Centon, do they made good cards?
Amazon.com: Centon 32 GB Micro SDHC Class 4 Flash Memory Card 32GBRSDHC4 (Black): Electronics

It's legitimatly a Class 4 card:
Micro SD Flash Cards - Centon Electronics, Inc.

Here's info about Centon (apparently, it's been around for 32 years):
Company Home - Centon Electronics, Inc.

I've never heard of the company before, but I buy SO much stuff from Amazon and trust their customer service and return policy, which made me jump on this right away! Thanks for posting.

Bad news is, it's temporarily out of stock. Good news is, I currently have a Sandisk 32gb micro SD (Verizon special, purchased from ebay) that I'm using for my EVO that works just fine. If the Centon 32gb microSD works better, I'll transfer my EVO info over and put the 32gb Sandisk in one of the phones on my other line.

I just searched for "Centon" on Amazon to check out their reviews for their other products, and....They all basically sucked.

I would beware of this card. They may be a legit company, but their quality doesn't seem to be so great based on most of the reviews I read.

What do the reviews say that actually sucks about the cards...do they not work are they slower than they say? Corrupt files?

Supposedly the write speeds aren't as fast as they claim to be. Idk though, there aren't that many reviews so I'm holding off until a brave soul puts up a review.

Yeah, like broken1i said....their were complaints of slow write speeds, defective (I know every company has lemons), and alot of "you get what you pay for reviews)...

This isnt that much cheaper than the sandisk at $77. I know its class 4, but it most likely wouldnt be much faster than the sandisk, since slower class sandisk cards usually outpace faster no name cards, so

There isnt a terrible amount of reviews, and most were from flash drives, but their were definitely more negative than positive, and gave me an overall vibe that the company makes cheap products that I would be weary of.

Aside from the people that managed to get the sweet deal through Verizon for $49.99, I haven't seen anywhere else have the microSD card available for less than 99.99 (Verizon was the cheapest, when it was still available).

From google search, cheapest place is $129+shipping for the 32gb micro SD Sandisk card.

So, for $77, I'm going to take the risk...especially since I'm purchasing through Amazon, which my experience has been AWESOME as far as customer support is concerned. If the card doesn't work right, I'll just ask Amazon to help me out on a return or exhange. If the card works great, even if it's as good as the Sandisk 32gb I currently have, then it's win-win.

Nontheless, it's still "out of stock," so there's no way I can really tell until they ship it out. If it's WAY later down the line and the prices drop for the 32gb microSD cards (in general), I'll just cancel the order.

FYI instead of being "out-of-stock," Amazon now says this is no longer available from the seller. Sound like classic vaporware to me.

Hmmm...Interesting. Just sent an email to Amazon about the status of the item and if they don't anticipate it being available for a long time. If so, I'll just cancel my order. No big deal since I haven't been charged yet.

Thanks for the heads-up.

Personally, it seemed a little too good to be true. In a few months, we'll see prices like that, but not now.

Yeah, I figured it was worth a shot to purchase due to the price and especially because it was through Amazon. I trust Amazon and have had great experiences purchasing through them.

I agree though. At some point, majority of the phones on the market will be able to use up to 32gb micro SD, so I'm sure the price drop will happen by my next phone upgrade.
