My first post may as well be a review. Yesterday I got home from work to find my Black Rubber Feel Snap-On Cover Hard Case ordered from this link:
Amazon.com: Black Rubber Feel Snap-On Cover Hard Case Cell Phone…
was in.
First I was glad to finally get something over my vibrant. I put it on and the first thing I noticed was it transformed my slim vibrant to the size of a naked iPhone 3G which is fine by me. The holes all match up which is nice and the phone fits very snug in the case which is another plus. It almost has the appearance, to me at least, of a knock off otterbox that my buddy has on his iPhone. It's not all good with it though; the "rubber feel" doesn't really feel like rubber to me, also when plugging in my rca-to-mini cable in my truck the plug no longer fits snug so I hear a nice whinning or static sound when listening to music on it, but the plug is bigger than normal headphones and last night a normal headphone plug fit in perfectly. The quality is pretty good for $8, but I kind of feel like if it drops from too high it will snap open and let the phone out. If that does happen though I am guessing the brunt of the impact would be lessened from the case.
Pros: Fits snug on the phone, the holes all line up with the corresponding buttons/plugs, it covers the phone in its entirety, and it adds a little bulk to a really thin phone.
Cons: The 3.5 plug in my truck does not fit snuggly any more, it does not have a rubberized feel in my opinion, and it feels to me like it could snap open on a bigger drop.
Over all I am happy with the purchase and am thrilled to have something protecting my phone. Coming from an iPhone 3G to this is awesome. I have better service with Tmo from AT&T in my area, and the problems I have had with this phone are mostly due to switching from iOS to android.
