Is anyone having issues with VERY slow download speeds when on 3G? I would expect to get better than 21k/s. I also notice that the download is not anywhere close to constant speed, but stays on 0k/s for a long time, and then every now and then bumps to 21k/s. And this is a file with 20+ peers so I would expect it to be better than this?

There might be some problem in your 3G or the torrent which you're trying to download.

I was a lurker here up to this point...

Great app, love it, downloading a mp4 of hangover right now. I have to ask, how does it set up the connection? I have a fire walled router, and for utorrent I usally have to port forward it for a fast speed. On the app I'm getting 50-100 kb/s for 4 seeds, which isn't so bad, if left alone on the charger, but it could be better, seed wise.

Don't get me wrong, I love my utorrent and would love to use this on my hero, but not till there is a peer block equivalent. Or is there already an android equivalent for blocking the anti-p2p and zip torrent lists?

I do use torrentfu to search though and send torrents to the queue on my laptop.

I don't think many people are going to be downloading gigs of crap onto their phones. The card slot can only handle a 16, so there ain't a LOT of room to fill it up.

The app, or do you mean stuff you downloaded via it? If it's the latter, you can either use HomePipe, or the smarter method would be to use Transdroid to torrent directly to your home PC.

The potential of this app is amazing its not downloading anything. Peers are at 0 and no info is coming throu to the phone. Ihave a desire running 2.1.

Why is AndTorrent no longer working for me? I thought it was just maybe down last week but it is still not working on my Droid Incredible. It won't do anything when I open it - it just won't update torrents already loaded. I can use the menu to delete a torrent but they are still showing in the queue, even after I click Refresh. I had it working great for several weeks. I just now tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it seemed it was going to work. I searched for a file and it started to download it but after about 20 seconds it stopped, my phone started getting very bogged down (my live wallpaper was slowed way down), and then it force closed but the app was still open, so eventually I shut down my phone and rebooted. Now it seems to be working okay. The version I had said 0.89.6, but this one is now 0.89.3. Not sure why that is. I hope it keeps working, I love this app.

I'm also having issues with downloading in the background! the weird part is that my boyfriend who has an incredible has no problems! when i do my torrent searches it states that there are seeders and then I download the torrent load it and i tell it to start and it'll start but then i press the homescreen and two hours later i'll check it and nothing! Anyone think verizon may have found a way to block this? I've emailed the developer over this and no response.

I don't know if any of you guys maybe have the same problem in the background as I did but when I was downloading on my Galaxy S I had a rummage about in the wireless settings to speed things up and found that in the advanced section of wireless, there is an option called WIFI sleep policy (WiFi settings -> menu button -> advanced).

Mine was automatically set to switch from WiFi to mobile data whenever my screen turned off by default, I changed this to never and my andtorrent has been running a looooooot faster over wifi than previous as it is no longer dropping and creating connections and swapping to 3G everytime I turn the screen on or off.

Anyone have any ideas on what port to forward for this?
