Root Rooting today, please help. I AM NOT ASKING HOW TO...

Wanting to root forever, I am ready to take the plunge today. Can someone please help me with a few things. Here is what I want from my rooting, can someone please tell me if it possible and how to do it.

I want FroYo that has absolutely NO bug or glitch whatsoever, no camera not working, or flash not working, none of that. If there is a rom or whatever out there that has ZERO problems I want that one.
I want the radio update that apparently improves signal strength.
I want wireless N.
720p recording.
Ad Free.
Overclock.

Last but not least.. what in the world is a kernal?! I keep reading threads about hydra kernals and what not. What is that and do i need to get one, if so, then which one?

I just rooted, waiting a bit on "forever" until I give this regular root a go......I am also trying to figure out the radio update ( I live in the sticks) and 720p...along with wireless tether, they are my 2 biggest wants....
