Requesting a Time Keepe App

I've tried all the free and most of the paid apps for time keeping but none do what I want, and what I want is fairly simple.

I do not want to have to 'punch in' and 'punch out' on my phone. I want to manually enter my times. And I want to calculate my hours on a weekly basis.

I want to be able to view my gross amount per paycheck (weekly) based on my $/hour pay. I want it to calculate overtime (1.5x base pay) for anything over 40 hrs./week.

I'd also like to be able to export the data to either Excel or an email.

This seems pretty possible to me considering the complicated time keepers out there and what I want seems so simple. I'm hoping someone can help me out.

I thought of a couple other features that would be nice.

Mark a day as a holiday (1.5x base pay for pay calculation).
Mark a day as paid vacation/personal/floating holiday. (Base pay even if it puts over 40 hrs./week. The only thing that should count towards overtime would be actuall hours worked over 40.)

So, I think I'm going to resurrect this just one more time.

I have no idea if this would help or not because I have absolutely no idea about android development, but I've created exactly what I want in Excel but would love to have it for my phone. If anybody would need any formulas for calculating or anything like that, I can certainly tell you how I calculate everything.

it would not be too hard i dont think. unfortunately i have several other projects on the go. but if i find time and get around to it i will pm you. would you pay for an app like this and how much?...just to help me decide which projects to do first.

Honestly, I would rather not pay for it as there seems to be a lot more complex (and bloated) time keeper apps in the market that are free. However, I have no problem whatsoever with ad-supported apps.

I am very sorry to be taking so long. I just started your app today and unfortunately will not have a lot of time to work on it over the next few days. BUT....i am working on it lol so far i have done the screen to add the hours of your current shift to your pay.

No problem at all. I've waited this long, right? Besides, patience is a virtue. :)

David, if you wanted to take a shot at it, I really don't see a problem with it. The more choices, the better, right?

I'll give it a shot for you. I'll try and have something done by the end of the weekend. Curious, would you like to store each week for a few months or so? Keep them saved in a database and we can display a summary over a month or so? Let me know if you want additional features. I'll see what I can do for ya.

That sounds like a great idea. And at the very least, I'd like to be able to export data to Excel.

got the summary screen done. the values in here are just dummy values. i need to work on the back end stuff to get it to save the values and grab them from the file to display. also need to make it check for the ending of the pay period to display an alert. but other then that i think this is what your looking for. will try to get it done tomorrow if not i will have it done thursday for sure
