Screen doesn't rotate in calendar?

My hero doesn't rotate in calendar entry mode. I thought it did last week when I purchased it. Has something changed or do I just remember wrong?

I've been starting to get accustomed to entering events from the phone, but the keypad is too difficult for me in portrait mode. Is there a way to force it into landscape when doing calendar entries?

My calendar also will not rotate to landscape. I have never tried it before seeing your query, so I'm not sure if it's supposed to!

Individual apps handle what happens when there's screen rotation rather than the OS itself, so I'd imagine that the Calendar app has been coded to ignore it. Same with the calculator - I assumed there'd be a more scientific calculator if you rotated it sideways. Sadly not...

I think you imagined it...? Stays in portrait for me, sorry

But, when you enter text, shouldn't it offer the landscape keyboard? I can hardly enter anything in landscape without spending half my time with corrections!

Same problem. (LG Revolution). My screen DID rotate in the stock calendar app. But since I was updated from Android 2.2 to 2.3.4 my calendar screen no longer rotates. I agree, it is annoying trying to input my work on the little keyboard. Any suggestions would be great. (What? download another calendar app?)
