Speakerphone anyone?

I'm trying to find the speakerphone function on the phone, and I've followed the directions in the manual, but when I'm in a call and press menu, I only see three functions: add call, flash, and people...

After you place the call just tap the speaker icon and it will be on.

So after you have placed the call and you have your green android on the screen there is no speaker icon underneath him? If you don't then something is wrong.

On your IN CALL screen under whatever contact photo you have(default green android or user added), you will see two buttons. The one to the left will be the mute button (microphone with a slash through it). the one on the right is the speaker phone

Yep...That's the way I do it as well. So far, the speaker phone has worked pretty good for me...Not bad at all...

Well, I suppose it's good to have options. But I can use my method with my eyes closed (or not looking at the screen)

So two methods work during a call. Thanks for posting this. I wondered about this for awhile.

1) press speaker button
2) press call button to switch between headset & speakerphone

Couldn't find mention of it elsewhere... how is the quality of the speakerphone, both on your end and the call recipient's end?

It's kind of annoying that the speaker is on the back of the phone, so if you lay it on its back it can be muffled.

Also if the screen locks during a call it seems like it's impossible to get it back.

You have to press Menu to unlock during a call. Pressing end call like you usually would hangs up on the person! I've done it though... Whoops
