What is this? What does it do? I have tried hooking this up in the past and the phone has gone a little wonky - it flashes the USB pic really quick....I just tried again and it's not doing that...in fact it's not doing anything...

I'm just curious..

That's the infamous MTP app flashing. Basically it means there's a file on either your internal or external SD card that the media scanner doesn't like. You will have to format your internal SD card if you want to get through this, or figure out which file it is that's causing the trouble. It's most likely a file with a long extension.

From what I've read recently, we'll need Kies for downloading Froyo 2.2, whenever it finally comes our way. It will be the only method of distribution, at least for T-Mobile I believe. Can anyone verify this?
