Will TouchWiz be improved?

So I know that most people don't care for TouchWiz. I'm one of the few that actually like it, short of the fact that it's a tad laggy and I can't find an easy way to sort the apps in the application menu. Bing is not an issue for me (I know that you can override it for Google in other launchers, which I've done, but I've already switched back).

Do you guys think/know if there are any plans to release updates for TouchWiz?

I'm new to Android so I'm not sure what the standard is for these things.

Sidenote - I'm using Launcher Pro for now.

I happen to like it as well - yet it feels like a young HTC Sense...its a lot more lightweight than Sense is as well.

That being said, it is the primary piece of their Galaxy S line, and I would expect that there will be improvements and updates coming along. Froyo 2.2 will allow TW to run more smoothly as well.

Yeah same here I do have LP set as default but I wasnt bothered excessively by TW. LP just is more customizable to my liking. Sadly for those of us rooted and looking to remove bloat TW is not removeable. Which is understandable but a shame since using LP adds an extra 16-17mb of ram drain, worth it though

I like like Launcher Pro, but I don't like that I cannot use any of the Samsung Widgets when it is on.


It is like a lose lose situation to me. I actually do not mind TouchWiz and like the look of the icons in the app drawer but it is annoying that you can only alphabetize them if it is on list view.

Yeah thats a nice feature of LP is the auto alphabetize. Which Samsung widgets are you missing/wanting to use. There is likely a 3rd party app/DL for it. Also its seems like after getting LP many people jump over and get beautiful widgets. I dont pay for many apps but the almost everyone raves about BW
