Root 2000th!!! post and farewell to the DX

Hey everyone,

First things first this is my 2000th post, yeah!!!

Anyways, I would like to say that the Droid X forums were my first forums I have ever been an active member of. And everyone here has made it a great time for me.

Just to name a few off the top of my head; scaryalien, jreed, Steven58, LexusBrian, NightAngel and even Piiman have made these forums a place where I truly like to come and help people. And also play around...sometimes

Also this is a farewell to my DX. It has brought me some great times but the locked bootloader is too much for me to deal with. So I will be switching to the Fascinate. But that doesn't mean I won't be here anymore, this is like home to me, so before you start calling me out thinking that I will never see it, watch out

yeah the fascinate is only around 375 nib on ebay. I sold my nib X for 450

What do you mean "even Piiman" ? I'm thinking about haunting you in the Fascinate forum so don't think you're getting off that easy bot.

That SF forum was alredy taking off with root and ROMS..But then I went over to the Dinc forum and man has that phone taken OFF!! they have a complete catalog of ROMS! I bet I could pick one up for 200.00
I really liked that phone except the battery life suxed the reception suxed and the screen suxed out doors .....ok maybe I didn't like it that much

I do like my x but man could I have some fun with one of those unlocked phones!

I think I'll head down to VZW and get some hands on with a SF and see what I think of it. See you soon Bot.

2K+ posts...nice, and whoa! You went from like 500 to 2K posts in no time and you've helped a ton a folks. You certainly have been a credit and help to the X forums and we are all very grateful for your contributions.

I'm pretty sure you'll "be back" or rather, "around". I still can't let go of the Eris forums even though the X is my primary phone nowadays (you'll never get over your first smartphone ).

We'll "haunt" you (obligatory Halloween reference ) over in the Fascinate forums occasionally just to make sure you don't forget us.

Oh, and I was happy to see Piiman still ribbing you about being a 'bot (a friendly moniker meant, I'm sure, as high praise for one so prolific, helpful, and knowledgeable).

I have considered selling my X as well for the Fascinate, it seems like a good phone. Couple of things have worried me though, I like the hardware on the X better, I have it set up the way I like it right now, I am sure I would be able to do a lot more software wise with the Fascinate, I haven't really played with one for too long, how do you like it? I assume you have played around with one.

I don't know if I could ever get rid of the X though, I am trying to get my wife to get the fascinate.

Just checked ebay. It looks like I would be coming out a wash on the good'ole ebay switheroo. Not willing to take that chance. I think I will be relatively happy about keeping my X and making my next phone LTE anyway.

Now thats unbiased and fair journalism! LOL you can still download google maps and use it. You can still use google search, just not with the search button. You can put LP on it (and lets face it, most people will) Bloatware is going to come on any phone. For the people who care, they will root and remove it. For the people who don't, it doesn't matter if its there or not. I'm not advocating the Fascinate. I like it, but that article is just ridiculous.
