I mean ok, they didn't add the walk and shoot that SO many people wanted in RE4 that's cool no big, but mandatory AI co-op? come on man I don't think there has ever been a game out there where having to cover your own ass while babysitting the AI character was ever fun. Some say that she needs to be there because the story unfolds with her in the cutscenes, but why do I have to fail the mission just because her stupid ass walked in front of the giant axe wielding executioner guy? I'm still alive! and there's only like two zombies left can i get the chance to finish them off and then revive her or something? shit!
There's people telling me that it will lose it's horror game feel if they make it like that. While it may be true, Capcom doesn't have to make it this annoying to play either, it's a game it's supposed to be fun. Remember how annoying dead rising was to play? It was fun but with no checkpoints and mentally challenged AI that get stuck in places and run right into zombies' mouths made me put the game back in it's case and not play it for weeks.
After playing the demo, RE5 is starting to feel like a huge letdown to me. I don't care that they kept the exact same RE4 animations and gameplay since RE4 was an excellent game but I can't tell how much they improved on it since, like I said, it's the exact same RE4 animations and gameplay.
For those of you thinking of saying something like "well then play gears 2 if u don't like it" save it cuz guess wut? I am! LOLOLOL! Also I know it's just a demo and they will probably fix some stuff but from my past experiences with demos they usually don't change much just give the game more polish. RE5 is not a first day buy for me.
