Hey guys first message on here. I've been reading the forumssince I got my phone a month or so ago. Finally rooted using the one button method. I've since installed wireless tether, adfree and auto killer. Has run good last few days since root but today started freezing. Have done 3 battery pulls today. Including one where it was sitting on charger.. I haven't done a factory reset since. Wasn't sure what that'd do. Also.... with root now..what should I start looking into learning.. I've seen rims and overclocking and haven't overly studied either but am interested in both..... once rooted I understand you void warranty? What if you use the one button unroot thing? Also.. if I have 2.2 ota what will I do about the next software update? Sorry so many questions but im very interested inverting the most out of my phone but I want to understand it so its not just me screwing my self.. thanks guys

Check around in this forum, most of those questions are answered in one thread or another. The short answer is, if you unroot successfully and they can't prove that you had at one time been rooted then your warranty should hold up. But don't quote me on that because I personally have not tested that theory out, so it remains just that... a theory.

I've read on here that you can still get OTA updates even if you are rooted. I am definitely hoping that is true because I would prefer not to have to unroot just to get them. Now if you're running custome ROM's, then I would assume that may be another story.

Congrats on rooting, you should enjoy all the additional possibilities that are available to you now.

Cheers!
