tasker help :/

basically i'm trying to make it so tasker turns on if my batt hits a certain level but turns off again every 5 min to collect data and what not then back on again...this is what i have(will this work)

State > Battery Level > 0 to 15

1. Airplane Mode Set: On
2. Wait 30 Min
3. Airplane Mode Set: Off If %AIR ~ on
4. Wait 5 Min
5. Airplane Mode Set: On If %AIR ~ off
6. Goto Action Number 2 If %BATT ~ >15

One problem with using the wait function, for a 30 minute wait like you did, is that the tasks remain queued even if the profile exits...I think. Not completely sure on that.


How about something like...


State > Battery Level > 0 to 15
Time > Every 30 minutes (don't select a To or From time, just check the box in the middle)

1. Airplane Mode Set: Off
2. Wait 5 Min
3. Airplane Mode Set: On



That seems simpler and likely to work fine. I'm not sure your reason for including the "IF" functions there. If some other task causes your airplane mode status to change, your original one might stop working.

cool thanks ill try it...reason for including "IF" is cause i got tasker a few hours before posting and still figuring it all out

everything works beautifully. thanks again. i did adjust a few things though...starts at 10% and only comes on for 3 min out of the 30. the only question is if i set it up correct to kill this loop. i made it so when the phone is plugged into a power source Airplane Mode: Off and made the power source a higher priority...which i think will work :shrug:

Higher priority only means that the tasks happen first. It doesn't mean that other tasks will be ignored.


If you want, you can create a simple profile like this:

Context: Power (plugged in AC or USB)

Task: Tasker > Profile Status > (Select your battery profile) set to Off

Exit Task: Tasker > Profile Status > (Select your low battery profile) set to On



This will disable (prevent from being active) the low battery profile anytime you are plugged in, and then re-enable (allow to be active if the contexts are satisfied) anytime you unplug.

cool cool that works and now i know what profile status is haha. had the program less than 24hrs and still learning

but i though i read somewhere about collision and priorities somewhere but i dunno either way this way is cleaner me thinks. thanks again.
