I am sure this has been talked about over and over, but I am ready to dump my Eris and move on to the Incredible. What I need to know is - is it really all that it was suppose to be? I played with one at Verizon and it is much faster then the Eris, but I need to pop $149 and I don't want to waste it. I also have a few apps that I don't want to loose, so is there a way to transfer stuff from my Eris to a new phone.

Thanks for any thoughts.

That sounds just about perfect as I'm a few minute walk away from one.

Quick question though, for anyone who knows. I'm on a shared contract with my mom and she's the "primary" who gets control over the whole account. Do I need her with me to get a new phone? She got a new one just a few days ago so the contract is renewed as far as I know.

Above works otherwise she needs to either be with you or available on the phone with some account info. If you love the Eris, than yea it's worth it. I love mine even though I took off sense and run CM. It's got a good selection of ROMs and the stock firmware runs good as well.

In short, yeah this phone is amazing. Aside from a few minor build quality issues, this phone is very fast and I don't think you will be disappointed.
Transferring files is very easy. I suggest using the 8GB SD that came with your Eris to replace the 2GB SD that comes with the Inc. Before you switch phones download the App Brain app from the market and sync your apps and you will be able to reload everything quick and easily. Don't forget to back up your contacts, calendar, etc before changing over too.

I've had my phone since last week Monday, love it! This is my first smartphone ever, and I don't regret it one bit! I wanted one for the longest time, but stuck with the dumb phones for a long time. Then finally I talked my hubby into letting me get a smartphone. Love it, won't ever go back again unless of course there was a very good reason as to why I'd ever go back. lol

Get the incredible, you won't regret it! At least I don't think so. :)

I have to admit, when it comes to smartphones, I love the Incredible. Before this phone a had a Blackberry Curve. At first I was afraid to get a phone without physical keyboard, but after a month I have mastered the keyboard on the Incredible and I like it. My husband is jealous because I spend more time playing with my phone then spending time with him. You can't go wrong witht he Incredible, its a good choice.
