Help Missing SMS option after upgrade

I recently upgraded my Moment from 1.6 to 2.1. In general I am thrilled with the newest Android offering for my phone, but I notice that now when I open the "Contacts" menu, my options are only to call or email that contact. In 1.6 on that same screen I had the option to Message them as well, is that something that could be wired back up? I use Handcent for messaging if that makes any difference.

Thanks

When looking at your contacts list, long-pressing a contact name brings up a selection list; one of them is 'Text contact'. You can also press the picture icon next to the name to bring up the icons for 'call/text/email' etc.

I don't know if this works the same way with handcent - I'm using the stock texting app - but it should just be a regular function of android.

Yes indeed, it is on the menu after a long press just like you said, as is another option that I didn't have at all before to "Send Voicemail".
Thank you sir!!:):):)
