I have a Droid2 on Verizon for about a month now ... I have eMail accounts with Hotmail, Yahoo, and Gmail, in that order of importance.

I'm looking for an app that will do a better job of handling / sorting / organizing my inbox, particular on Hotmail. At a minimum, Here's what I want to do:

1) Search for all messages from a particular sender.
2} MARK AS READ all messages in my inbox at the beginning of each month.
3) Sync with my online mailboxes so that when I read a message on my Droid2, it will also show up as having been read on my home PC, and vice-versa.

I've looked through the Market for an app that will do this, and I can't find one. I don't mind if its a Paid-App, I'm willing to cough up a few dollars if it will do what I want it to do.

I don't want to get into a lot of jury-rigging programs or viewing eMail through my browser. And I don't want to get into rooting my phone.

All I want is a Stand-Alone app that will handle this, and I don't think I'm asking for too much ... and I don't think I'm the only person that needs this functionality. Why isn't it there?

Let me take this opportunity to thank you in advance.

Look into setting up Hotmail with ActiveSync (and email apps that support ActiveSync).
Any advice on how to do this?

I remember ActiveSync from a Windows Mobile phone I had about 6 years ago ... I never could get it to work, and gave up trying.

Still, I'd like to find just one app, even a paid one, that would handle all this for me. I can't believe that Android left these functions out. In this one aspect, my Blackberry Storm worked better, but that's the only part of the Blackberry that I miss. Everything else on the Android is a major improvement over BB, but I'd really like to get a better grip on my eMail.

I just noticed that my Yahoo mail account will sync between the phone and the online mailbox, so that messages I've already read show up both on my phone and my desktop at home.

How can I get Hotmail to do this? Hotmail is my most important email account, and I'd like to able to get more functionality from it on the Droid2.

Someone earlier mentioned ActiveSync, but I'm not sure how to do this.

I'm sure my problem is just a matter of changing a "0" into a "1" somewhere in the preferences, but I can't find the right option to click on.

Any help will be greatly appreciated ... Thanks!
