Hello I have a older Baked Snack Rom from Sept 2010 that had Swiftkey when it didnt have the annoying smiley face instead of the enter Key. I'm using Myn 5 now and I backed the version of Swiftkey 1.0.763 to Titanium. When I install it, it gives me a later (not most updated) version with the smiley face. What am I doing wrong?

My other question is the old update build 3.26.65.6 is giving me FULL BARS ALONG WITH EXCELLENT 3G coverage. Is there a way to get this on a later rom> Myn 5 or am I going to be stuck using a the older ROM. I went looking for this old ROM because I believe I had lost my 4G at some point

THANKS IN ADVANCE

Clear data and cache for swiftkey...uninstall. then install older version.

Rims are updated with radios. Typically the more current rims will run best with most current radios. Most of the time the dev outlines clearly what you need to stay compatible. You can make nandroids and experiment tho...just keep track of your combos. You can find links to radios etc in the root for dummies thread.

How do you clear the CACHE and data on Swiftkey. I deleted the data with Titanium but said nothing about cache as an option. Also 3.26.65.6 was a the old "update" as opposed to radio. The more recent 3.70 is what I want to swap. Any idea how to do since its at least on in the rom?

ok

menu.settings.applications.manage applications

find swift key and delete cache and data.

then go to market and find swift key. make sure auto updates are OFF

uninstall it.

install your older version. (where did you get your older version..is it a backup or the actual apk) sometimes older titanium backups have caused me issues and I have had to use google to find older version of the apk itself

that "should" work unless there is some sort of setting to turn that smiley on and off and you just never noticed it before.

I understood your question but may have been unclear in my answer...they are usually brief when I send them from the phone.

Most of the newest Rom builds are based off of 3.70. It's all sort of a package deal.
[ Radios ][ 12-17 ] All EVO Radio, WiMAX, PRI, NV & HBoot versions - xda-developers

in some cases you can go back to older versions of any of these. In others you can not.

If I understood correctly you are on 3.70 but want to go back...read through the Warm thread and see what Myn recommends. If I recall correctly 5 is based off of 3.70 and is going to run best in combination with the newest radios etc but as long as you have a nand to go back to if rolling back doesn't work then I say experiment with it. I know for a fact some people use older pri's or prl's with other radios. Sometimes it won't work...so have a good go to nandroid backup to go back to.
