Any Magic type card games?

I keep hoping that some Magic, the Gathering type card games will become available on Android.
On my Windows phone, I had Orions: Legend of Wizards, which was way to easy and incomplete as a concept, but also quite fun.

Does anybody know of any of these type of games for Android?

I was looking at making one such game, possibly even making it location aware. (You have to go here or there to find cards, shops, etc)

The main problem I have is that I want to do a game that won't get me sued by an owner.

Triple Triad (from Final Fantasy, see another thread here) looks like a great game, but I'll only do it if I can't get legally nailed to the wall.

Are there any open source CCG rulesets that can be applied here?

I have been wondering the same thing and u could use the same basis as any other ccg but just slightly modify it to your needs which has been done a thousand times since mtg came out in the early nineties so if u can develop a game I can help with the rule set... and gameplay... just send me a message and let me know game

theres a couple of flash games that use cards, one fo which you fight your oppenate to destroy his castle, as you win in single player you unlock more cards, supports multiplayer and savces your deck works with froyo, its not MTG but it works. i also got TTX to work on my N1.

I'm playing with an idea of porting Wagic game to Android. Wagic is fairly advanced MtG clone with thousands of cards, AI, various game modes, currently available on PSP and PC - and most of all, known to and (so far) tolerated by Wizards.
I'm pretty new to Android development, so this is planned as far-future project for me, not real before I gather more skills.

Wagic is opensource written in C++, using OpenGL - If anyone can help porting such application, I would be grateful.

I think someone mentioned it before, but the best game there is on the market, is Archmage...
It has also Online Playing and its relatively new, so i am supporting it a lot...

This is rip-off of Arcomage and goes as far as using it's (most likety stolen) art AND tries to make money off that, so I'm not suporting this particular game at all.

Most games are rip offs of other games.

I mean, if you really thought about it,

Final Fantasy is a rip off of Dragon Warrior.

Duke Nukem 3D is a rip off of Doom.

Guild Wars is a rip off of WoW.

Oh man, I would love to see an official Magic The Gathering game on Android. I used to be really into Magic back in middle school/high school and would love to have it on my Atrix.

I'll support Shadow Era as well. It's fairly new so still small, but very similar to magic and the developers are quite active on their forums.

It's available as APK for Android 2.3 and higher. It let you play MTG solo and also allow you to customize card bitmaps however you want and even create your own cards and rules.

I registered just to say thank you for Wagic. It's pretty damn good and I'm glad I finally found such a good MTG game for my phone (Evo 4G). Still a few improvements needed on the interface IMO, but other than that it's really addictive. I will be following the updates

Check out Warlock's Bounty.. It is a gamebook in the style of Fighting Fantasy but incorporating magic card combat instead of dice rolling, something that hasn't been done before.

We have one of the authors from the Fighting Fantasy series working on the story.
Balancing the cards within the story element is a challenge, but if we get it spot it should make for a very fun and original game.

Release date will be most likely during next month or two
