A friend went and got the Inspire 4G on release day. He like it enough but when the Atrix came out he couldn't resist. Best Buy took the Inspire back and gave him the Atrix with no extra money involved. $99 for the Inspire and nothing extra for the Atrix. I asked one of the sales clerks about the pricing and they stated they could sell the phone for whatever price they wanted to.

Does this seem reasonable? Can they really sell any phone for whatever they want to?

the INSPIRE in Middle TN is $148.88 at Wal-Mart. They're usually HIGHER on all their AT&T phones (especially just released ones)

yeah stores like that and walmart come up with their own pricing they dont have to follow att pricing in fact I believe their goal is to be lower than att to get the sales. (didnt seem to work this way with the inspire at walmart cause att is $99 and walmart by my house is $128)

I always purchased my electronics and my previous iphone4 from best buy. They gavr me a new contract price on the i4 when i easnt even close to an upgrade.
1st when the inspire came out, i was still more than a fyll year from my upgrade. Went to best buy, they couldnt do the 'thing' they did with my i4, and they couldnt explain what they did for my i4. For the inspire the best they could give me was the retail and they advised me to go to att as they said thay might be able to do some adjustment to my upgrade date, nocan do. Best they could offer is meeting me in the middle of the full retail and the new contract price.
Got it for $249 with car charger and an iphone case for free

bestBuy matched Radio Shacks price PLUS the $10.00 off coupon I had from radio shack.

Retailers can basically sell the phone for what they want. I'm sure AT&T gives the store a kickback for selling the phone and signing up someone for a 2 year contract!!!

I got them to price match Radio Shack for 49.99 for the Inspire. :)

OH YEA? Well did I mention that they honored my TWENTY dollar coupon I had for Radio Shack AND gave me a gift card for my awesomeness?

How were you so special to get a $20 from Radio Shack, when all the rest of only for a $10?

I had to get management to match my $10 one. I was fixing to walk out.

Last week, Radio Shack had the phone for $49.99, no trade-in, no rebates.

You can register at RadioShack.com and get a $10 coupon as well (if you've never registered your email before).

They seem to flip-flop between the trade-in deal and our-right pricing.

The trade-in deal isn't a bad deal...Just make sure you trade on OLD phone, not something actually worth anything.

Radio shack gives 50$ towards the Inspire 4g if you trade in ur old working phone.

So it's 49.99 for the inspire
