Just so you know, the Verizon rep I talked to in Tacoma at one of their stores is very savvy when it comes to rooted devices and, I won't divulge his name, but he sees absolutely no problem with modifying and ROMing your device. He has helped several customers (on the sly) to recover their devices, and knows how to talk the talk when it comes to "not condoning (wink, wink) these mods." We had a rather lengthy conversation regarding some cool features I "accidentally found" on my DX, and he was interested in getting copies of some of the cooler ones from me directly (bluetooth is a cool way to transfer files, BTW). He wanted to congratulate the developer of the 270 degree rotation, said it was one of the best things he'd seen recently, and also thought the blue "M" and boot ani were much better than stock. So, congratulations to the developers, you know who you are.
Not all of the sales reps are the enemy.

Agreed. At my VZW corporate store, a LOT of the techs are rooted and we talk about stuff all the time. I show them my stuff and we share experiences.

This doesn't surprise me. Most of the people that work for companies like this are regular joes like you and me. They don't care about rooted, non rooted, etc.

It's a job man. Most of them do the same things we do only they can't freely admit it because of who their boss is.

I believe P3Droid was the one that initially discovered that the sensor was turned off for the 270 degree rotation.

I didn't think making a blue "M" boot logo would be liked as much as it has, but I guess quite a few people like it; someone even asked me if they could use it in their theme or ROM that they are developing, I can't remember which, and who it was at the moment.

And anyway, cougar214 is right, you have to start somewhere

I thought it was for the screen rotation but my screen rotates the same with or without the mod. Can you clear this up for me?

It's for the stock launcher; the home screens will not rotate unless you have the mod.

Now see. On mine the home screens did rotate. Were they not supposed to? I clearly remember the home screens rotating like normal on mine. That's why I didn't know what was up with the mod. Which GB version was this taken out of?

did you have Launcher Pro, or ADW, or Go launcher installed??

I think you must have been smoking something and your head was rotating......lol

You would be the only one out of everyone that's installed GB; without the mod that is.

Nope. Gave up smokin funky stuff long ago. But I could stil be wrong. With flashing all these files and tweaking things out and running home launchers I could just be all turned around....


But then again, maybe that funky stuff I was smoking back in the day burned out some needed bits..........
