droid full screen video

I know there are forums gallore on this but i can seem to get anything right. I have tried using all the settings given for handbrake and i have tried dvd catylsts. I want to encode dvds to play on my droid but no matter what settings i use all i get is this dinky video with .5 inch bars on everyside. The closest i have gotten is using act 1 payer to strecth the video across but it majorly distorts the image do you know of any thing that can help me play full video like the ipod.

I have never used either of those converters mentioned, but I have used one that I think is a very good one. And I also found out that watching Video Fullscreen is not always a conversion issue, but a Player issue. For example, with the native movie player that comes with the Droid other than the video you shoot with the Droid, there is not a lot of formats that will play full screen.

There is a media Player in the Market called Meridian that will not play Full Screen either. However there is one in the Market that I can personally vouch for that does have the Option to play full screen in the settings, (Brightness settings and more), because I've been using it on a daily basis to watch the movies I'v converted to .mp4 H264.

The Player is called "Act1 Video" I forgot how much it was, but it is definitely worth it. Now as for converting movies, I use E.M. Total Video Converter, here are the setting I use, lets just say it took about an hour and a half to convert Star Trek (which isn't a small movie), and the size was about 720 mb.

To Convert: E.M. Total Video Converter

My Settings: (No freezing, stop and go, and audio is in full sync)

Profile name: iPhone H264 normal quality
Target type: .mp4

Custom audio sample rate: 48000 b/s
Custom audio bit rate: 48.000 kbit/s
Audio codec: aac

Custom video frame rate: 24.000 /s
Custom video bit rate: 768 kbit/s
Video codec: h264

there are still black lines on each side of the video.

That's very weird. I just tried viewing a video, and it's completely full screen. There are black lines literally like 1 mm thick on either side of the video, but when I press "home" they are the same black lines on the border of the screen. So, my videos are completely FULL screen.

But, I must say, that I have converted only TV shows so far.

DoTheWeb.net - What Can The Web Do For You Today?

Choose the dvd to droid link. I use it. I love it. Converts everything perfectly with no settings required. Just pop in the DVD and follow the on screen instructions and it will convert for you.

It works great for almost all my movies. I also bought the act 1 video player that makes the movies full screen.

P.S. if u use the dvd to droid the movies open up to a nice clear size in netbooks and lap tops. The man did a great job with that program.
