Screen timeout when in call..........

First post here....biggest issue with the Hero is that when you are in a call, the screen time's out. If you are in a call that you need to hit numbers, then you have to hit the power button, then swipe, then get to your keypad. Is there a way of preventing the screen from timing out while in a call? If I switch to "never", will that stop it?

Not that I know of. I'm in the opposite boat. I wish there was a way to time it out so my cheek didn't push buttons! I can easily hit volume or another button to get the screen on, but how do you get it off before it times out after 30 seconds?

the market has apps for that. Try screebl or proximity sensor

menu>settings>sound and display>screen timeout>what ever setting you perfer

Try "screen on" from the market. I allows you to keep the screen on while using certain apps..I use it for browser.
