Phantom Skinz or something else?

Hey guys!

So I kind of want to get a new look on my Incredible 2. I LOVE that its somewhat unique looking, but its still a bit on the bland side. So I would like to get something that spices it up a little and helps protect it from scratches and dings. Ive been looking at Phantom Skinz and would like to get into one of the Chromaticz skins and give it a little color. My biggest concern is the price and installation. Is it really worth the money and how difficult is it to install these guys? Are there better alternatives?

Take a look at the Skinomi brand. They have a carbon fiber skin that looks pretty sweet...

Wow, these do look pretty sweet! They come with matching "wallpapers" to make it really seamless too!

yeah.. if i had better luck with battery life and didnt need the extended battery, i'd probably try these out.. they look pretty sick. i really like the wood designs.

Just got the istyles in the mail today, applied it, and immediately took it off. It did look cool, but I know that the edges would collect dirt/dust and eventually fold/flare up, especially if you are storing it in your pocket. I'm dissapointed in it ;( Wont be buying a skin for anything else.

might just be the istyles.. they are a lot cheaper than skinomi and phantomskinz.. there's probably a good reason for that. i've used phantomskinz (not the chromatics) before and definitely would say its very nice. but yeah.. the price being so cheap made me a bit too hesitant to check them out.

I should have known when it said "skin" especially since the incredible 2 isn't exactly flat all over. Like I said, it looked cool, just didn't feel like it would last. Instead of a skin, I wish it just replaced the back cover.

Anyway I purchased this Seidio case instead, Seidio HTC Incredible 2 ACTIVE - Blue - eBay (item 130530625281 end time Jul-07-11 07:05:58 PDT)
I think it'll be great. We'll see though

I used the Seidio Innocase II for my Eris and loved it. I think the Active case is going to be a little bulkier though. Hope you like it.
I have been looking at the Barely There case by Case-mate and the Feather Ultralight by Incipio as a seamless alternative to the Seidio Surface case.
