Help sensation coming 2 orange uk?

I just phoned orange who said they are not getting the sensation. Grrrrrr, so I asked how far in advance new phones show on there system and the guy told me that the system is showing phones available till July! I'm not a happy bunny now!

The person you spoke to at orange probably only looked at oranges coming soon section of their website, which only lists phones coming within the next 6 weeks. Last week i rung them to ask about the SGS 2, and the bloke told me orange weren't getting it. I looked at the orange website 2 days later, out of interest, and guess what? The SGS 2 is now listed on their website as coming soon. If you look now, the sensation isn't listed yet. But i'm sure it will be, soon.
Note - if it's listed on t-mobile's website, chances are it'll be coming to orange, they are owned by the same comapny, after all.

I've just had an email from buymobilephones confirming that they are expecting stock on the 21st May, and will be delivering from 23rd.

I've now been told that the May date was a mistake, and they are actually expecting stock on 21st June. Great.

If you buy the phone from somewhere like buymobilephones is it likely to be standard GSM stock or do they sell the branded network versions usually?

Just wondering whether it's better to just go direct and claim more cashback.

As soon as the SIM-free handset is available you'll be able to get the Sensation on any network you wish

I work for CPW and the HTC Sensation is expected with us next month, unfortunately I'm not aware if it will be available on Orange until it's release. I'm hoping to upgrade to it, i'll be pee'd off if I can't!

The HTC Sensation has today appeared on the Orange shop as "Coming Soon" with an option for an Email when it's in stock and available. (Its a step forward!)

I believe it's a ROM Update Utility (to enable you to flash the device with the firmware that Orange, O2, Vodafone etc shove on their branded handsets).

Not had any updates yet from Orange, but if the 8th July date mentioned previously is correct, it's not too long

Well the "8th July" rumoured Orange release date has arrived and still no sign of it being available. I asked Orange yesterday and they said "Its due the end of the month, but no specific date known". Not sure why it seems to be in stock and available at places like Carphone Warehouse on Orange, but not with Orange themselves!?

I too am waiting for it on Orange. To get the Perks Discount (25% off contract for public services), you have to order through retail stores, not CPW et al. I asked them if they had any idea when it was coming to the shops. 'Definitely this month' is the best I could get. According to them after Vodaphone, CPW have a secondary exclusivity deal with HTC so they can offer the handset on all networks, but for the discount I have to wait for the Orange shop to have them.

Come on Orange! PAC ready, recent utility bills ready, payslip for discount.... ready!
And wait... and wait... and wait.

Personally I'd steer clear of an Orange-branded handset. They are notorious for ruining a perfectly good handset just to put their own (uninstallable) apps on it. I'd prefer to pay a bit more to have an unbranded handset from CPW

That's true, but it's all about that discount... and I'm guessing there'll be generic ROMs floating about, and now that HTC are rolling out unlockable bootloaders... flash it!

Well I just spoke to a guy in CPW, and I don't know if he was angling to sell me a phone there and then, but told me that Orange probably won't have any stock for another 6-8 weeks! That tallies up with what the guy in the orange shop said about it probably being available in August.

Man alive, if that's true I think I'll have to take my second choice and get a Samsung Galaxy S2 - but I don't know if I can live with that touchwhiz stuff, or the sneeze-with-it-in-your-hand-and-snap-it build quality. Tricky

I ordered mine through retentions last Tuesday and writing this post on it now! Lovely phone, but orange has done some personalisation on the handset.
