Help 2 Questions

Hi Again,
I have some more questions...
1- How can I get it to not make the shutter sound when I take a picture?
My bf has a droid and all he has to do is turn the volume to vibrate and it shuts his off. Its really annoying when I'm trying to take a photo of my baby and he hears the shutter and moves or wakes up. Which makes my pic blurry.

2- How do I get my phone to vibrate when I receive a text? I have my phone on "silent" and "vibrate all" when Im at work. When I get a call, it vibrates but not when I receive a text. So I keep having to check my phone to make see if I get a text instead of it vibrating and letting me know.

Any help would be great.

For the camera sound, while in the camera mode, press the menu button and scroll down to shutter sound and turn it off. Not sure about the notification thing, I never noticed that.

When I hit menu it only gives me 2 choices... Gallery or Switch to Video.

For the camera shutter sound,there are apps in the market that will delete the shutter sound(BLADE BUDDY,among others),but,you probably need root access to install such an app,or,to have the option of muting or deleting the shutter sound.

You don't have any camera settings? This is what I see from my stock 2.1 backup when I push menu.

When I push settings I get this:

Are you on Cricket or Metro? Could Metro have a different camera app or something? Or are you using a different ROM?

Sorry the pics turned out sideways, I'm doing this all with my phone, and I've never tried taking a screenshot while actually looking through the camera before lol.

Thanks for the pix,I myself don't have a copy of 2.1,I just assumed the option wasn't available since it's not on CM7(UNLESS I'm overlooking something,AGAIN .)

Would like to hear from the original poster,I'm curious as well as to which carrier & operating system they are running.

Are you using stock messaging? If your using another messaging app you may need to go into the messaging app's settings and see if there are any notification options. I use GO SMS Pro and it has notification settings and an option to on/off vibration.

I am on CM7 and I don't have an option to turn off my shutter sound. When I press the Menu button I get:

Switch to video

Gallery

Advanced Options

Under Advanced Options I get options to use the volume buttons to take a picture and to adjust the focus. When I press the volume button on the camera shooting screen nothing happens. When I press while under Advanced Options it adjusts the ringer volume.

I am using Metro 2.2 Android.

And am using the default messaging. It seems like a no-brainer that it should vibrate when I receive a text. Still don't know why it doesn't when I have the vibrate all option selected.
