Hi,

i got ma p990 few days ago, and it was expensive. But phone sucks its like secound most powerfull phone in the world but i think by performance it should be last.

1. phone lagggggggs..when i press lock button it takes like 2secs to get to the lock screen

2. It like 2x core processor but in market like 90% of apps and games are incopatible WTF

3. gps seems not to be working

Any way to fix lag and other? if there is pls tell me.I'm so pissed right now

What software version are you on? have you tryed a up date?

im on 2.2.2 update tool says its last version and when i try updating from phone directly it says "connection failed"

As stock it is a bit poo, IMO. What version (10a, b, c, d, e) are you on?

With CM7 however, it's pretty damn good.

I would sugest your phone is faulty.... they don't all arrive from factory in full working order......down load a bench marking app and see what you get.

Try rooting and getting rid of some bloatware, then fix some of the bad settings. Mine is working pretty good after 90 days of tweaking it. I am on 2.2.2 as well.

Well i love my 2x & i know it loves me too

I loved my 2X for the first two hours. Then i discovered the screen washes out the blacks. The blacks are too greyish, as a result of the backlight being set too high. Go to lagom lcd (google it) from your phone and click on brightness. The top left squate sould not be visible in low room light, but it is. Or just compare the boot screen of the 2X to a full screen black projected on a pc monitor. The black of the 2X isn't so vivid, huh?

So, i loved my 2X the first two hours, when i had it under bright sunlight (which masks the issue), but immediately hated it when i discovered this issue.

Oh, and I sent my 2X for repair and discovered the LG technician had a 2X with the same issue, so it's not just my phone.

You can limit the problem somewhat by enabling auto-brightness, but that makes the white too dim.

Long story short, LG sold us a crap screen with poor poor contrast and then set the backlight too high to dupe us at the store and make us think the screen is great.

You're right it's not just your phone, it's also not just the Optimus 2X, a lot of IPS screens have the backlight bleed, including ones used in Apple's products.

It is infact a very good screen, if you can look past this downside.
