How come the storage for the apps is so limited on the Samsung Gem?
Is there a way to load the apps on the SD card for more storage?

Also, how do you forward text messages? I long press the message, but no option comes out fo forwarding.

And one more thing. How come the storage on an MMS message is so limited. Tried attaching a 30 sec video to a MMS, told me it exceeded capacity.

Help?

1. The Verizon version of the Samsung Gem comes with Android 2.1, which does not support Apps2SD functionality. The CellularOne version, however, comes with Android 2.2 (also known as Froyo), which does support Apps2SD. So you can blame Verizon for releasing an outdated OS.

2. To forward an email in GMail, first, open the email. You will notice to the right of the From address are 3 buttons: a Star to flag an email with, a Reply arrow, and then a small triangle. If you click on the triangle, additional options for Reply All and Forward will appear.

3. The file size limitation of SMS is apparently also a limitation imposed by Verizon, from what I could gather.

In closing, let me add this oft repeated statement - "Google is your best friend". It's how I found all of these answers. :)

Like I said in another thread, Verizon is not my carrier, Alltel is.
I wasn't asking how to forward messages in Gmail, I already know how to do that, I was asking about forwarding text messages that came from one contact to a different contact.

I found my answer. I went to the Marketplace and downloaded the GO SMS Pro App. It does have the option to forward a SMS or MMS to another contact.

Thank you for your help.

what about move pictures and other stuff to the SD card? how do i do that?

If by pictures you mean the ones you take with the camera, they are automatically saved to the sdcard. "Other stuff" (could mean anything) will generally be stored where the app has it designated to be stored. In some cases, this is fixed and immovable; in other cases, there may be a menu setting to allow you to set the storage location. In no case will you be able to install apps to the sdcard with Android 2.1.x unless the Android version has been modified to allow it by having been rooted.
