Returning/Exchanging Photon 4g with Sprint?

Hi, I've been lurking here a bit and decided to make an account due to the great replies here.

Well, today I've ended up buying the Photon 4g at a local Sprint store for about $200. I think I made a good decision as it will be my first smartphone. Apparently they had to order it so I won't be able to pick it up until next week Wednesday. Anyways here's my dilemma;

I've read a lot of issues about people had with the Photon losing audio on calls and the phone randomly turning off. I'm guessing there will be an update to fix these problems and I'm planning to see how that goes. However, with the upcoming Epic Touch next month I'm wondering if I should exchange my Photon for it before my 30 days are up (if it comes out in that window, that is).

So my question is if I decide I'm dissatisfied with the Photon and the Epic Touch is out during my window of 30 days what is the process to exchange my phone for it and how does it work? Thanks in advance, sorry if my question is a bit noobish, kinda new to the whole thing.

It all depends on the pricing. If the Epic Touch 4G is the same price as the Photon, you would just go in and tell them that you'd like to exchange the phone for the Epic Touch 4G. You'll have to bring the original box and contents back and they'll swap it for the Epic Touch 4G. Simple as that and you're only allowed to exchange 1 time. You will not be allowed to exchange the Epic Touch 4G for another device, after 30 days is up. Exchange for another Epic Touch 4G, definitely, but not for a different device once you've switched from the Photon.

I may be taking it the wrong way, but it seems as though you might be suggesting that there is a new 30 window upon exchanging the first phone. While a store may be able to be persuaded into doing so, this is explicitly not permitted according to corporate. My apologies if you weren't suggesting that though.

He was explicitly stating that there is not another 30 day window after the exchange.

I re-read my statement and I should clarify. What I meant on my closing statement was that, once you have exchanged a phone for another, you cannot exchange for another phone again within the original 30 day timeframe (from when you first upgraded to the Photon).

Bottom line - My main point was that, if a person has a MoPho for 30 days or less, they can exchange for the SGS2 (if it's released within the 30 day window), but you will be stuck with the SGS2 at that point.
