File tree questions and SD card issues

I have a flytouch 3 that is running Tims5a and for some reason whenever I put in my 16g microSD it replaces the directories of sdcard and sdcard1. This means that things I have stored in the internal storage disappear and I cannot access them unless I unmount the microSD card. Does anybody know how to fix this?

Also, is there a link or can somebody explain the general directory tree under tims5a? Thanks!

When you insert the microsd depending on which file manager you are using the internal will be under local or just mnt/sdcard and the external will be sdcard1

Thanks for the response. I am using whatever the default file manager is that comes with Tims5a. It's just called "File Manager" in the apps list. I found the local directory and there is still no sign of the internal storage.

I am thinking it may be because I formated the SD card in my G1. For some reason I couldn't format it on the tablet, and I am still waiting for the SD adapter to come so I can format it using my computer. I am hoping that once I do that then both the internal storage and the minisd card will show up separately and at the same time in my flytouch3.

If you can think of anything else or an app I can download, please let me know. Thanks!

Tim5a works best when your external card is never taken out once your tablet is powered up, if you read this thread, it discusses the "missing" sd card problem issue and why it happens.

Flytouch 3 Hybrid ROM (rooted)

Search for Ghost Commander at the market, install it.

You can now have 2 windows open, if you navigate to mnt/sdcard directory, with your card inserted and working, you will see sdcard1 & sdcard2, you can open each one in a window in GC and see where & how directories & files are stored on your tablet.
