Help Firefox and Market issue

Has anyone had this problem when downloading files through Firefox? Every time I start a download I get a prompt that the Market is not responding and if I want to force close. Sometimes the prompt will disappear almost immediately only to pop back up and then I force close the market. It still keeps coming back up during the entire download session. Once the download is complete I have no issue. It's really a nuisance.

Nope, Firefox and Chrome work great. It's IE9 that I have trouble downloading anything with unless I right-click and choose save-as.

You could try the DownloadThemAll! add-on for Firefox.

My bad. I should have been more specific. I meant Firefox 6.0 for Android.

Firefox on my PC is an entirely different story. Since the recent updates, it crashes more often than someone with narcolepsy. But that's neither here nor there.

OP, are you able to download other apps without problems? Are you getting an error message?

I can download apps through the market without issue. Even with the files I download through FF, they download fine. It's only while downloading in Firefox that the force close prompt for the market appears. I never encounter any file corruption.

I guess it's just a bug. A rather annoying bug at that. But then again, aren't all bugs annoying?

So you're not actually using the Market when you get the notification?

That is correct. That's why I believe it is just a bug with Firefox. This never happens with any other browsers.

Download on many browsers requires the sdcard. Have you moved any apps to the sdcard? Maybe yours is starting to fail?

It requires more investigation, but you might need to do this: http://androidforums.com/droid-x-support-troubleshooting/398883-random-reboots.html#post3120989

What happens if you remove your card (or insert a different one) and try FF?

I don't think it's an issue with the SD card. It's working as fast as ever. I bought this Droid X in March and I'm still using the same 16GB card it came with.

Just finished going Bugzilla to see if it was a known issue and the closest I could find was something about the library. That bug was posted back in December of last year though and this has only been happening since the last big Market update.

I did send them an email so we'll see what comes of it.

Thanks to both of you for trying to help me out with this. It's appreciated.
