Is there an overclock kernel that works with this ROM?

To my knowledge there will not be an overclockable kernel for 2.3.4 until HTC releases the source.

You are indeed correct!

Also, you can underclock the current kernel using the scripts found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1212462

I dont feel the need to do either on this device. I think HTC made the perfect blend of power and energy efficiency. Tweaks in the ROM do boost the performance as well. But this is just my opinion.

Anyone discovered (or, depending on the reader, perhaps I should say "programmed in" ;)) a way to turn off the home screen sound that plays after you unlock?

Enjoying this ROM big bunches. I've had great battery life for the first couple of days without using any SetCPU underclocking. But I've added SetCPU today.

I'll have to keep playing with this. It's difficult to measure this with the variance in day to day use. I've not figured a more clever way measure it than just to keep a running average over several days of use in each configuration. Anyone have anything more clever?

I have a silly question for Scott.. When I installed 2.1 it automatically reinstalled all of my apps. When I installed 2.2 It didnt and I had to manually reinstall with Titanium Backup.. Did I do something wrong this time? Still a GREAT ROM!! Big Fan!!

Not sure, some people report that oddness from time to time. Also, I really dont recommend Titanium Back Up. It can cause alot of issues. Really random stuff. I know, I am the odd man out on this one...

whoops. i feel silly.

I've had HTC androids phones for a while now, and I've never noticed that setting. my stock 3vo didn't have it turned on either, but only after I flashed this rom.

Thanks!

HTC decided to turn it on in the new release. Not sure why so I left it that way because I never knew it had sound either, lol

The only problem I've had with TB is it not restoring a lot of my apps. Is this what you're referring to? If so you can do the following to install apps

In TB, long press app that you want to reinstall, click view Android Market info, view in Market, install.

BTW great rom, thx

downloading now scott

have to admit, I keep flashing your updates as well as synergy (now that they have that dual core fore option) I can't stay away from yours too long :P will donate when I can!

Ok...Maybe it's just me but I have noticed a problem since I loaded this ROM(yes I did a complete wipe/factory reset on the phone)

1. On the lock screen, if I have the device plugged in the time no longer updates. Even if I press the power button to turn off the screen and turn it back on.

2. On the home screen the time is correct on my standard HTC widget, but in the upper right corner in the status bar the time is listed as 1:56 (the time I plugged the device in to charge this morning. I suspect it froze the second the display went dim and it has not updated since.

3. I have had 3 calls where people have told me they are going directly to voicemail like my phone is off. I even had my wife call me while she was 5 feet away.

To be safe I completed another factory reset and reloaded the ROM again and I find myself experiencing the same issues when the display dims while plugged in.

Apparently it also exhibits the same behavior on the home screen whether it's plugged in or not any time the display dims.

I would appreciate any input on the issue.

Thanks.

This is a weird one. I just plugged my phone in to test it and the clock is working fine. I don't recall ever noticing this on any version of CleanROM.

Are you plugged into the computer usb or wall charger?

2. On the home screen

Just so everyone knows... I am not ignoring him. I am helping him on another forum where he duplicated this posting.

IM pretty sure this is related to 1 of 2 things....
1. He said he restored some junk from back up (I always recommend against that)... But I dont think that is the issue here....
2. He has older radio. A small handful of people who never updated the radio have experienced very similar results. But this is a very small handful and not technically ROM related but after updating radio all was well for them. But I also suspect #1 had something to do with this in there cases as well.

Both. All I restored (junk) was my contacts, sms messages, and pictures. I am using the stock radio that came with the device.

I hope you get it figured out... I've tested this morning on both PC and Wall plug, rebooted, etc. and my clock is updating. I do have the updated radio and PRI if that is any help...
