I dont want to be pushy or anything, but will there be changable themes? I like the red but its not my color. Will still flash tho cause it's amazing :]
Also will there be a option for vibration intensity? I dont like how when I unlock my phone its like a damn vibrator for 2 secs
(Im not trying to be pushy, just being curious.)
I don't remember my Ally ever vibrating for 2 seconds when I unlocked it, but I just unlocked StormDroid and the vibration was not long at all.
Shouldn't og said 2 secs but is there a option to decrease the vibration intensity on the unlock?? Or thru out the whole phone?
No, I do like the haptic feedback, its just that I dont like the intensity of it. Looking for something that will reduce the intensity of it. That's why I was looking if this rom has this option to set into HIGH intensity of haptic feedback or LOW intensity..Perhaps you could change your settings? Mine is set to vibrate when sounding a ringtone, but it does not vibrate when unlocking. I think the reason is that I don't use the haptic feedback setting.
Well, based upon what I know of these vibration devices, they are actually tiny little motors with an eccentric weight on the shaft. That said, if they are set up to do PWM, it 'should be possible' to vary the speed of the motor and that would reduce the intensity of the vibration. But if there is no facility to access that circuit from within the phone's OS, I doubt there is much one could do to change it. PWM requires a controller, or controlling programming, to set the pulse widths and frequency.
I wouldn't be surprised if the phone manufacturers never felt the need to do this. So it may be as simple as switching voltage on or off to the little motor. If it is that simple, there may not be a way to control the switching other than on and off. If there is a way, it might come down to being controlled in the OS kernel and not in the ROMs our devs can customize, which would also make changing it harder to do.
Not being a programmer, I can only make these guesses.

I like the way you think... you're absolutely correct about how to manipulate the intensity of the vibration, but like you were saying I don't think there is any choice besides "on" and "off". Having some working knowledge of electronics I can tell you that the physical circuit that controls the vibrating motor is hard wired to send a specific voltage to the motor at a specific frequency once triggered.
I highly doubt that any manufacturer (at least cell phone manufacturer) took this idea into account when designing a phone... its either 1 or 0... on or off. Without some sort of variable resistor or multiple circuits that can trigger the motor at different voltages I just don't think its possible... but I would love to be proved wrong because that would be a really cool feature.
There seems to have been more then enough time invested in the develpment of Stormdroid to at least have a projected release date. Maybe before all the ally phones disappear from use.
