haha well im 15 so retro gaming isn't that important to me (however I love playing classics) and the name 8-Bit-Soldier just sounded really cool. I did have the original Droid and played a lot of FFVI on it with the keyboard

One thing I have to say is I'm pysched so many OG Droiders are coming to the Bionic (JohnGalt and Yank in particular). We'll all be here together to help eachother out and all the newbs! It's still pouring in DC, but I'll be at the Verizon store no later than 9am!

I know patience is a virtue (most times) and you guys have to be some of the most virtuous people on the planet short of Tibetan Monks, considering the wait you've endured. I think I speak for the majority of us in the Waiting-For-Prime camp when I say Congrats, enjoy your new phone!

Ha! Thanks. I basically told the woman at the store I got this just until the Prime comes out and give the Bionic to my wife (though she whines that she wants a new phone NOW )

I guess I am the grandparent on the group, but I am a proud geek too. Been in the computer biz for 40 years. Not to say I know it all. On the contrary I highly value the input offerred by my younger counterparts. I acknowledge that the apps and custom roms and kernels I've been enjoying are the products of my juniors. Good for them
