Netflix/gingerbread?

My wife just got a thrill yesterday, it's BFA!

I loaded the netflix 1.3 apk on it but it doesn't work. I know the 1.3 is supposed to work on a lot of phones that aren't officially supported by netflix but I think I've heard they pretty much have to be GB os for it to work. (1.3 worked for me on my froyo inspire for a couple weeks before the GB update though) Any word on GB coming? or an alt non-root way to get netflix working?

But if the past is any indicator, they might release a new version that will actually work on the thrill but isn't officially supported and won't show in the market.

same thing with Tango & Chase banking app(shows up in the market though)....not supported yet cause it's still new. I have my cousin's password for netflix so i guess it'll come in handy. Anyone email their support yet?

Just saw this posted on another forum:

Netflix just got updated to support all 2.2 and 2.3 devices.

Awesome if true, I've texted my wife to see if she sees it in the market and can install on her thrill but haven't heard back.

edit: looks like apparently so but maybe not just yet. If I search netflix from the web market, on the previews it shows this:

but if you actually click into it it's still the old app page with the list of supported phones and nothing about "all 2.2 and 2.3"

I was able to download netflix from the marketplace today after it went official for any phone on 2.2 and 2.3 and sadly the app won't load on my phone. It downloaded and installed but for some reason will not open. It just closes out before it fully loads up. Looking at some of the comments left on engadgets post on netflix it seems this is a issue with most LG's ranging from the T-mobile G2x and the Lg optimus. Hopefully somebody reports this issue and it gets resolved with the next update. Sucks to have to wait though after a announcement like this. Let me know if it works for anybody else!
