Photon Vs. Epic Touch

Sadly, I will not be able to get the Epic Touch when it is released in the 16th, I still have another year on contract. So I was thinking if I should go for a used Photon, about $350, or should I wait a few months until people are tired of their Epic Touch?

Thanks for the input.

Well, seeing that the Photon is the 2nd best phone out there, It comes down to "Is the Photon suitable enough to restrain from waiting on the E4GT?" There are some pros and cons...

Photon - TegraZone, Possibly better sowftware support, probably more durable, qHD (Even with Pentile it still looks good), Kickstand, Motorola phones usually have better reception and GPS than others,

Epic 4G Touch - Bigger screen, Super Amoled Plus, better camera, better processor, MHL, more video codecs (DivX, Xvid), better UI (IMO), fastest browser, thinner, lighter, sexier (we all know it).

If the Pros on the E4GT are worth waiting for than go for it, but if you really want a phone right now, I don't think you would be disappointed about the Photon.

As a former Epic owner who absolutely hated the Epic, I'm more than biased against Samsung. That being said, unless you are on your last nerve with the Epic, I'd wait a year to save my money for my upcoming upgrade. Just imagine what amazing phones will be released by then...

My Epic got on my last nerve two weeks ago when I opened the slider and a key on the physical keyboard popped off for no reason. I used my Gold Premier upgrade to get the Photon. I love the phone. Except I've had to exchange it twice and if I need to exchange it again I will dump it for another phone. I'm not sure what that would be. Most people haven't had any problems with their Photons and they love their phones. I love the Photon. I just hope I have finally gotten one that's problem free.

If you can't stand your Epic for another minute, then you could do worse than getting a MoPho.

I don't care what specs that SGII or Touch or whatever they're calling it now has, it's still made by Samsung and will be dependent on Samsung for updates. That alone makes me avoid it like the plague. If you're interested in the SGII, I'd wait until a few months after its release to see how well the hardware holds up and whether or not Samsung has fixed GPS and whether or not they will finally support that phone with timely updates that don't mess up the phone. That's my opinion.

That's basically what my thought process was. I think I will wait for the Epic Touch to pop up on ebay. It may take a few months until it gets to the price I am willing to pay, but hey, if the price doesn't go low enough, I'll wait for my upgrade and buy something even better.
