Random restarts

Okay, so I've had my Droid for a little over 60 days, and I've recently started seeing what I consider a MAJOR issue. This aside, I LOVE my Droid, but I've been ready to throw it through a wall lately.

It's been restarting at LEAST 10, maybe even up to 20 times a day. I uninstalled every app I had on it to see if maybe it was an app causing the problem. I hadn't downloaded any new ones before I started noticing it, but it was worth exploring.

So far, it hasn't helped at ALL. It's still randomly restarting all the time. I don't even have to do anything with it. It's restarted 4 times in a row just sitting on my lap while I was driving home. I've heard my "Droid" notification and checked it, seeing that it was preparing the SD card. I've left it sitting and came back to it to find it's not running any of the pages I had up when I last put it down. Etc.

Really, it's becoming a major issue for me. Anyone have any ideas?

I've seen a few more random reboots lately, but nothing like you're experiencing...

if it continues I would definitely take it back in to Verizon...usually it is an app that has been loaded recently that doesn't play nice....sounds like you've already tried that fix, so may be a hardware or OS issue....

Since you've already removed 3rd party apps, I'd do a factory reset and see what happens.

I had a random shutdown / reboot issue on my first Droid that persisted through the 2.01 update and a factor reset. In addition, the Qualcomm Neocore graphics demo would display only white blocks.

I've had no such issues since replacement.
