Slow charging battery?? what gives

So everyone complains about how fast the battery goes down on the Prevail, but what about charging the battery? This phone is one week old and I noticed from day one that it takes forever for this thing to charge. For instance today I got home at 4:00pm and put the phone on the charger @ 7% battery life now at 8:00pm its at 41% Thats just insane. I read roughly 10 emails in 3 sessions on it during the charge.

At that rate you could sleep 8hrs wake up and your phone is still not charged :(

Have to ask the obvious, are you using the stock cord and using a wall plug?

I believe USB has a couple of power ratings and you might be getting a lower one from a computer. Not positive though.

Actually the factory charger is still sealed up. Im using a Motorola charger at home and at work they both are from a pair of Boost Motorola clutch phones from years ago. I guess your gonna say thats a problem? lol.. Today its at least 4 times slower than any other day. I never tought about it but are they rated at differant levels? I just figured if the shoe fits (micro usb) use it

It does depend on the power levels. I believe the prevail, as most newer phones use a 5.1 volt but at 0.7A
while phones from yesteryear, used maybe 5.0V 0.5A though I dont know if the specs were ever standardized so some may have used more, some less.

That will certainly make a difference in your charge time. Also shutting it off will charge it much faster.
