Root HELP with NFL Mobile on aosp/cm7

HELP! im running blacksource theoryROM v 2.2 here: BLACKSOURC3 V2.2X PERSONAL - Downloads - TH3ORYROM

im trying to download NFL Mobile so I can stream games and watch a few on my phone thurs and sun. when i try to open app it says "content can only be viewed by verified VZW users" ---or something to that extent.

my buddy said he is running bamfforever and nfl mobile stream works for him. (because he said it is based off of an vzw leak. not sure if its an official leak or w/e)

SO, im wondering what is the trick to get NFL mobile to work? can it work on cm7/AOSP? or only on bamf because it is based off of vzw or something?

any advice, insight, or answers are grately appreciated.

I have heard, however, of some nifty tricks with taking a backup of it while in a "sense" rom... then flashing over to AOSP and "fudging" it in. I thought I actually read a few had success but not so sure. Haven't tried myself yet but if I travel on a weekend I might get serious about it this time of year...

You could always just dual boot OS's and have one that will run the app as well for when you really need a fix.

This is true. The NFL mobile app only works on sense roms. You can try the backup/restore from sense to AOSP but I've heard of more failures than sucessess with this method.

@defTwitch, by dual boot the OS are you speaking of something like boot manager or just having a backup of a sense rom availble to be restored on sundays?

boot manager... although you could just nandroid back and forth as well I guess.

Yeah but from what I understand nandroid takes longer to restore than it does to change from one rom to another after you have it set up with boot manager.

Do you have boot manager installed? If so how well does it work, can you tweak roms on the SD just like if they were on the phone memory, i.e. flash kernels?

i do not have it installed (lazy =)... but if I was going to do this... thats how I'd do it.
nandroiding would be a pia if you just wanted to watch a game in the afternoon and then go back.

I do know you can do it with theory's roms... I also know some people have had some issues with initial installation of it regardless of the roms. When/if I get around to giving it a whirl I promise I'll share my findings!

aka I'm not sure about your other questions. I would assume you can tweak anything you want... just like partitioning / dual booting a computer but I'm not sure.

Okay I think I saw some of the issues people were reporting, I am weary of using it as I don't feel like trimming my SD (6.3 GB currently available). I thought I saw issues with people trying to use anykernel format kernels with it but can't remember the source so just trying to get 1st hand reports. If you try it out please put out a review on here.

What I've read recently is that its a PIA to setup... but once you get it to install it runs well.
