Why does it seem like everyone dislikes Sprint TV?

I decided to research what it had to offer, and saw it had NBC, ABC, FOX and a list of other networks available. I watched a bit of Scrubs, and browsed a bit, seemed to work fine for me, although no WIFI is a downer.

Anyway, what are others thoughts on this? If a no to Sprint TV, then what app is there that does this stuff?

Half the time I try to watch a clip on Sprint TV I get an error and the app crashes. It would be great if the app worked, but MobiTV's platform is unstable. MobiTV is actually the service provider, and they've been struggling lately.

You're better off with Orb or hopefully Sling will have their app on Android soon...

I love SprintTV. I created a little stand here in my office right under the monitor and I watch ON Demand shows when things are slow. I will say that I wish there was more full episodes. Live TV I really have no need to watch on the phone since during the day only crap is on and the only thing worth watching is in the evenings, which I am normally home for. I am not willing to pay the extra for Sprint TV Xtra to even find out if it is worth it. They should give a 30 day free trial so that I can figure out if it's worth 9.99 a month to get 12 more channels. I doubt its worth that though.

Comparing a stand alone application to others that require some kind of hardware set up elsewhere isn't a fair comparison.

I would like to use Sprint tv but every time I load a channel I get an error that it is currently unavailable. It's been that way since I got my hero.

It was selling point that doesnt really work.

Edit:
I just tried it again, loaded it up, pressed Live TV, the little spinning loading thing came up for a while and it said "channel listing unavailable. Please try again later"

That's what I always get.

i carry and iPod with me and now a days I been using my phone as my 2nd mp3 player lol....no need for a tv at the airport!

Then obviously it's not for you. But I've been using Orb since my Treo 650 days & find it very useful. It gives me access to live TV (or at least what is on analog cable), plus every video on my PC.

Having said that, I would prefer a Slingplayer app for Android, since that would let me access everything on my TivoHD.
