are any of you guys having this problem???

im currently using a live wallpaper, and ever since the gingerbread 2.3 update, whenever i reboot my phone, the wallpaper resets to the default sunset one.

i've tried changing the wallpaper from settings, menu button at home, long pressing on home screen, nothing stays when i turn off the phone.

is anyone else experiencing this?
or have a solution?

Since reporting this, I've gone from the Atrix to a Nexus S (which the sales dood didn't bother to mention wasn't with the AT&T fake 4G and AT&T would not support the phone) and went back and took another Atrix. This one seems to be mostly working properly other than the wallpaper ... the operative word being 'seems'!

If the Atrix 2 comes out before my 30 day return period is up, I may go that direction but I paid a penny for this Atrix and I'm not really up for a $200 upgrade!

I typically don't fool with live wallpapers since my battery drains so fast anyway.

I did do a quick google search and found other people with Android phones reporting this. In all of the cases that there was a solution, they had installed the live wallpaper to the SD card.

Just like with widgets, you can't install them to the SD card without losing them on reboot. This is because the data on the SD card is not available at start up. Not until the system comes up, remounts the SD card, then rescans it.

Not sure if that's the case with you guys, but I figured I would toss that out there.

A couple more links I found from the google search where people with other model phones have this issue. I haven't read through all of them... I'll leave that up to you guys so you can see if it applies to you or not.

This app developer even talks about it resetting back to default if you put it on the SD card..
