Cant Install Theme From UOT Kitchen

I have created my theme with uot kitchen and uploaded the framework.apk file but for some reason everything I try to flash the theme I get an error while flashing! I unchecked the theme preview choose option. And I am trying to install this theme over the stock 2.2.1 rom. It has been rooted already and obviously have a recovery.

If someone can help me with this I would really appreciate it. Maybe guide me through it or tell me any other files I need to add to the kitchen from my phone!

try messing with the settings a bit. try the edify scripting option vs the amend option. I've had trouble installing in the past too, but got it to work with some type of change in the settings. It's been a while since I did it, so I can't remember what it was actually. I think I did it off of the chickeneater rom, which is pretty close to stock visually speaking.

ok thanks, i will try to use the chickeneater rom, I did mess with the scripting option and used both options and either way I go an error! the first time I got a status 0 error and the second time I got some update error. But i will try the chickeneater rom and keep you posted if it worked for me! thanks again!

sorry for the double post but I just checked the kitchenlist for the roms and the chickeneater rom is not there

I'm not positive on this but, I think you have to have your framework deodexed and the chickeneater rom is not.

I had this problem when I was installing a theme on the stock rom.

yeah i'm not sure whether i had used the chickeneater rom or not, but if it wasn't then it must've been the stock-rooted rom. Can't remember as it was a while ago.

kitchenlist? not sure what that is. if it's from the uot site, i didn't know they had any optimus rom's 'approved' for compatibility with their kitchen.

you could still try it though. worse case, you get another unsuccessful intall of the theme.

thanks for all the information, and I followed the exact settings you had on this picture but for some reason it wont flash properly! I will write the error I get and see what you guys tell me..thanks again!

you first have when you go into recovery click the "toggle signature verify" and a message should appear that it is disabled, then flash the zip.

are you doing it like this?

if you dont toggle the signature verify it wont work.

yea I am toggling the verify switch, I make sure it is disabled before I flash the zip, I have succefully flashed many custom roms but for some reason the simple theme on the stock firmware is not working

I use Edify and not Amend. when i use the kitchen. And the kitchen as far as i know can not theme odex files need to be de-odex. I could be wrong.
