Root CM7 RC1.7 Bluetooth fix

Can anyone point me to the RC 1.6.1? I'm having the bluetooth problem with my car's hands free sync and would like to try taking the Bluetooth.apk and using it for the 1.7 version, see if that will fix it.

If that doesn't work then I would like to use 1.6.1 since I need to use the bluetooth daily. Every thread from other forums I find as a download link are all updated to 1.7. Can anyone help me?

Did that actually work? The bluetooth frustration actually pushed me away from 1.7. Now running BlackAosp 2.2.1 and everything works great. Let me know if you had the gps problem too. If so, did you do the sense gps install/fix?

Yeah I am curious to know if that worked also, not because I would use it but because I suggested it in the CM thread and to the best of my knowledge it hasn't been tested yet.

Me too! I am about to flash another ROM because I can't use my BT headset. I love everything else about CM7. If the BT issues can be fixed, I wouldn't have any problems. Please post back if this worked!

Try flashing the newest version of CM7. BT is reported as working in 1.8.

Yeah, Yeahha! Thanks, just saw that. I have a really dumb questions though....I don't want to hijack the thread, but how does one install the updates, this is the first one I've done. I got a folder in the download, not a zip. Any pointers? I've already searched high and low and I feel stupid to ask, so don't rub it in!

Didn't mean to press thanks.

Delete that folder.
Re- download the zip.

Reboot into Recovery
Wipe cache partition
Wipe Dalvik cache
Install from SD

Don't feel stupid asking a question. If you got a folder then your download got messed up so you will need to redownload the rom. While it says "update" it is a rom so you would flash it just like any other rom

Thanks, I was going crazy thinking I had to compress it myself or something! I realized what happened. I just switched browsers to Safari, and it automatically unzips the file and moves the zip to the trash. I had never downloaded a zip with Safari, so I had no idea what was happening! Problem solved now, thanks!

You could have recompressed and signed the folder but it would be a PITA if you didn't know what you were doing, and it is just easier to download the zip again

I thot the only issues people were having was with newer BT equipped cars. My BT earpiece has worked fantastically for several cm versions.

This is actually one of my main criteria for using a Rom. I talk on my BT 1-3 hours a day,so I can't run a Rom that it ddoesn't work.
