Help Virtual Keyboard sometimes doesn't work

Just wondering if anyone else runs into this problem.... Every so often, I go to type in a message, either on the pop up from handcent, or in the actual program, and no matter what I hit, the keyboard doesn't type anything. I can switch inputs from Swype to Android keyboard and usually it doesnt do anything (though sometimes it starts working again). Sometimes it fixes itself if I leave it alone for a few minutes, but other times it needs a battery pull to fix. It's not a huge deal as it doesn't happen every time i use the phone, but definitely something I wish didn't happen

Are you running the Beta version of Swype?

Frist off, welcome to the site :hello: !

Second, are you using the Motorola A855 Droid 1 phone?

This thread is pretty old, the last post before yours was over a year ago (nice use of the search function, though) and the OP hasn't even been on this site for almost three years.

As best as I can see and can remember, swype was aways a beta and if it was available in the market it was only fro a short time. I might still have the beta version in my collection, but if you are also having problems with the regular keyboard, try going to applications and clearing data for the keyboard, or doing a full factory data reset.

Please answer the second question above so that if need be I can move this question of your to a section where users of your phone model can give you more help and good luck
