what app are you guys using to change the color of the LED flash for different things (i.e.: missed call, voicemail, calendar reminder, email, gchat, etc.)?

(mods: i'd like to keep this in the RAZR forum rather than the app forum. i did some searching and the answers to this question seem to vary greatly amongst different phones.)

TIA.

Check out Light Flow in the market.

Try Light Flow app in the android market, It allows you to pick a different color for each application when you get a notification (e.g: set missed call to white, gmail to red, google talk to blue, and google voice to lime). It also works in succession, so if you get a notification from gmail, google talk, and a missed call it will blink red to blue to white.

hmm, having an issue here with text message LED notifications. light flow is working great with everything except texts. i'm using handcent and before i installed light flow, i had a blue LED for texts in the handcent settings and it worked great. then i installed light flow and the blue for texts stopped. i still get a notification bar notification and a sound notification but no more LED notification for texts. i tried turning off the LED notifications within the handcent app and using light flow for it but that didn't do it either.

any ideas?

Make sure on your phone you go to "Settings" > "Sound" > and ensure that "Pulse notification light" is switched on. Also try setting sound notifications and/or vibrations to see if they work.
Also, Make sure that SMS is enabled. The app checks to see if you've got access to the stock content providers, if it can't get hold of them it will automatically disable them.

hmm, still a no-go. and handcent isn't listed on their list of compatible apps, which i find a little strange - it's pretty popular. but anyway...looks like i need to find a different solution.

nevermind, i found it. apparently they want you to check a special setting specifically to get handcent to work and now it works! saw this at the bottom of the dev's webpage:

"v2.6.1
★ REBOOT YOUR PHONE AFTER THE UPGRADE ★
New option to get Handcent working "Alternate on monitoring" - check this if having problems."
