It just keeps looping from on to off repeatedly until I pull out the battery.

What may have caused this to happen and what can I do to fix it with your help?

I unmounted my SD card before this happened so I'm not sure if this is the reason my phone is malfunctioning :(

Can you not get the phone on at all? It just flashes the white htc screen over and over?

Edit: Moved you over to the 'Support and Troubleshooting' section

What were you doing before rebooting? Or did it just cut off?

Yes, that's all it was doing before I took it in to the Sprint store to have a hard reboot done to my phone

Before all this problem occurred, Iwas trying to see if I could root my phone. Since I took my phone in to have a hard reboot done to it and it starts up normally, where can I be directed to root my phone?

ok so i moved you to the rooting section.

so can you boot up your phone? try holding power+vol down and see if you can go to the hboot screen. at the top of the screen will be your hboot. what is your hboot?

Yeah, the Sprint store rep hbooted my phone and it works fine now but I lost most of my apps which is ok since I want to root my phone.

Do you want me to hboot my phone all over again before I proceed to root it?

not sure about hbooting. lol if you mean going to hboot and do a factory reset, then there is no need for that. but you can go to the hboot screen (power+vol down). at the top of the screen will be your hboot version. what does it say?

if it is hboot 2.10 or less then use this guide:

if it is hboot 2.15 or 2.16 then use this guide:

Please read the guides thoroughly before attempting to actually root. Also please post questions or conserns before rooting

The rooting process is the easy part, making sure all things are in order before finding root, that's the pita:eek:;)

Also, if you decide to root, I would highly recommend using Amon Ra OR using Amon Ra Style, as your recovery;)
