Help Backlight does not light up during a call since the last update

Since this last update for Android, when I am on the phone during a call and take my face away from the phone, the backlight does not light up to allow me to press mute, swap, end call, etc. I have to press the 'power' button to get the screen to light up, but it only stays lit for a second. It's almost impossible to check my voicemail now! Any patch out there yet???

I noticed this, too. I haven't seen any fix or anything for it yet either.

It's starting to piss me off. If you see a fix for it, could you please post it? I'd appreciate it.

Same problem. Also occurs when using the speaker phone on a call. It is very annoying. I found the easiest workaround is to use the volume up button which brings the screen back. The first couple of times it happened, I couldn't figure out how to end the call. VZN needs to fix this ASAP.
