You can actually make out the zon in verizon in the pic if you adjust the levels. This might be the retail box.

Hey guys, first poster (I've been lurking a F5ing for quite a while).

Robertlawson, the poster of the pics at XDA came back and answered some questions. Oddly enough, openyoureyes said they are demo/review units, but he claims it is the retail packaging. He also says that there is a stamp rather than a print.

Here are the questions and his answers, certain responses edited out because it didn't matter. Here's the post link: xda-developers - View Single Post - Verizon Galaxy Nexus retail box pics

Welp, got Ninja'd on my first post! Yaaaaayyyyyy!

Welcome and thanks!

Adding my voice to the chorus, I tried my luck calling the three stores closest to me in Montgomery County, MD. All were very polite but had no information. One "we thought it'd be out in November but I guess it was delayed. Maybe check back in a week," one "we have no information" and one "any day now!"

Disappointing, given others' apparent results.

i think the point you are missing is that the leaked pics already show a sleeve. the pic to the far right, with the GNex in it, is the bottom half of the box. the pic to the left of that, with the outline of the GNex, is the top half of the box that fits over the bottom half. then, furthest to the left is the white sleeve that fits over the entire box.

i think the point everyone is making is that it doesn't make sense to have a plain white sleeve, as is shown in that pic. and, your explanation also doesn't make sense - a second sleeve, with the printed logo, to slide over the plain white sleeve???? maybe the printed logo sleeves are being shipped separately and will be substituted for the plain white sleeve at the retail stores, but that doesn't make much sense to me... idk...

or another box... -_-

Highway 153 Chattanooga

take it easy on the guy...maybe one or two people call to corroborate instead of everyone flooding him?

Do we seriously think the reps are just telling random lies to random callers? Why does anyone need to call and verify anything? Leave the reps alone. People calling 8 different stores to compare stories, shame on you. You're making the reps day hectic and it's not going to get you anything in return except more rumors. Someone said they had already reserved a phone at a store so they declined to reservation offer at the alternate store they were calling. Why call another store and waste their time if you already have one reserved?

Just got off phone with my local Verizon store and they said there is no set date for the release so they can't even look up in their computer.

Maybe they won't be getting my business then for being so lazy to not even check for me. At least put me on hold and pretend that you're checking the system.

Same with my three local stores. Figured it'd be worthless, but I had time to kill to phone them before a meeting.
