***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

So I just got back from local VZW Corportate store, talked to same one as I bought case from.

He told me it is not releasing this week. He said there is still a GAG order out and that it would be removed well before 2 days prior.

He said that they had the RAZR was on the shelves a week prior to being releases and the Rezound was on the shelves 3 days prior. They even had the XYBoard on the shelf 3 days prior with no GAG order on any of them.

Since there is still a gag order he thinks there is something corporate is holding onto it for.

He did say if it released this week, he would buy me the phone.... Thats how confident he was.

Hoping he buys you the phone. But somehow I think what he's said makes sense. Sad times

I had the same thing happen to me with the promo...he said "yes it can be applied to your account" and then I asked him to place a note on the account and he comes back saying "oh, its only for the midwest, sorry".

As for the date of release, this guy also seemed clueless and had to put me on hold again for 5 minutes only to come back with "we dont know when that will be released". I think some CSRs really are just that out of the loop. I wouldn't worry about that.

CSR1 : "Hey, when is the Nexus coming?"
CSR2 : "Another one? Man I get 50 calls a day about that stupid phone, I don't see why it is so popular, the iPhone is way better."
CSR1 : "Well do you know when it is coming out?"
CSR2 : "Yeah, probably Thursday, but it hasn't been officially announced, so don't tell them that."
CSR1 : "Well what do I tell em?"
CSR2 : "Haha, tell em next year, that'll serve them right for calling so much about it. iPhone is better anyways, maybe they will come to their senses and buy one of those instead."

I wouldn't worry or put any stock into what that rep said, I have called about phones in the past that we're just launched and some reps aren't even aware they are selling them on Verizon.

It's amazing how very little some Best Buy, Waklmart, employees know about what they are selling. Frusterates me to no end, when I go into Best Buy and some pimply nerd wants to have a battle of wits when it comes to Plasma vs LED or some other debatable topic they are ignorant too.

I was never actually put on hold, it was all quick - she cut herself off mid sentence to tell me after the first of the year. She seemed like she wanted to help, but just couldn't and was throwing out a date. I only added my experience because all we've seemed to hear today is "My rep said the 15th!" stories. Not all of them are saying the 15th, but let's just bank on that corporate disconnect since Verizon is still being quiet officially.

OT Dexter

I really think Deb is gone. LaGuerta is doing everything she can to get rid of her, and she's in way over her head here. I think she leaves, transfers, whatever to get away from Dex/LaGuerta. And to ease on set tension with the divorce.

And Lewis. I think they're setting up Season 7 with him. I think he's a serial killer (his convo with Dex as Dex was getting into the elevator was telling) and knows who Dex is. Which set up two scenarios, based on what was happening off screen. If they didn't get signed for Season 7, Dexter kills DDK early on and Lewis kills Dex in the finale to end the show. They did get signed for Season 7 and 8 though, so they drag out the DDK thing (explains the lull in the middle of the season - no content), and introduce Lewis as the next season's "big get" in this season's finale. I don't see them working together - teamwork never goes well for Dexter.

He does it by making games, collecting things, and being a general internet guru. We all know Dexter's mask. Did anyone happen to catch WHAT exactly the signs on the hand meant that he was drawing before shipping it off?

As for Deb. I think she'll find out about Dexter's...habits. There's a reason that they've been writing in so much about their relationship. I would not be surprised if she does not return next season - given the divorce and story potentially taking that turn.

Also, I have a theory on how Dexter gets out of the next trap - it was given away (to me, at least) in the previews.

My dad had prostate/bladder/ureter cancer back in April, had it all surgically removed, and he was taking blood tests every month to see if the cancer came back. It all came back negative, and they said he was cancer free.

Recently, he was hospitalized again for back pais and they found bone cancer in his hip/sternum/lumbar. The pathology report said it was the same bladder cancer he had before. Now he's doing radiation therapy to be followed up with chemo.

Stay positive! He will feed off of that. It really helps having a positive outlook for both the patient and those around him.

He is most certainly wrong about the GAG orders. For one, Verizon DOES display all major phones days/week ahead of time, but typically they don't do that. Usually only for the DROID brand, and the Rezound because it got its own separate unveiling and was hyped way more than the Nexus has been. Look at the phone releases this year; Stratosphere, Bionic, Thunderbolt, Pantech, there's several phones that weren't really displayed or hyped before launch.

I would've shook on that deal for a free phone.

We are 2 days out from a supposed release. The fact that stores still claim it's not coming this week is troubling. Unless they are just plain lying why, when we are this close, doesn't EVERY store know 100% that the release is Thursday. Maybe because it isn't. Either that, or Verizon truly is dumb and can't properly communicate with their customers OR their sellers. Either way, I'm staying at a 1% chance the phone comes out this week.

Oh I couldnt agree more. This season is shaping up to be ok, but the slow, religious like start really disappointed me and a lot of others I know. Season 2 and 4 are definitely the best IMHO

I think if they got rid of Deb, the show would tank. She's almost as big a part of the show as Dexter is. Also, Jennifer Carpenter and Michael C. Hall have both said that they remain great friends and there's no tension. Is that likely? I don't think that there's no tension, but I believe them when they say it's not a big issue. They seem pretty much down-to-earth.

I think Lewis is going to start killing, but I don't think he's a killer yet. I have no idea what the deal is with sending Dexter the ITK hand, but I'm sure it will be cleared up this week. I don't think they'd consider doing a villain over 2 seasons, though. If anything, they should've done it with Trinity. DDK storyline is pretty much dried up.

Regardless, I'm stoked for the season finale!
